Research consistently shows that stress is a significant contributor to workplace safety violations in construction. Studies have found that physical and emotional stress directly increases unsafe behaviors, while work-related stressors such as excessive job demands, poor supervision, low job control, and fatigue are significant predictors of worker injuries.
Many safety programs focus on lagging indicators such as injuries, OSHA recordables, and lost-time incidents. Stress should be used as a leading indicator because elevated stress often appears before safety violations and accidents occur.
This webinar will provide stress management strategies for ALL construction industry roles, both in the field and in the office, including Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, Pre-Construction teams, Business Development, Safety Professionals and Human Resource staff.
