About Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)
Celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2025, Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national construction industry trade association established in 1950 with 67 chapters and more than 23,000 members.
Founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABC helps members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work.
About Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Metro Washington
ABC of Metro Washington Membership is for companies who work in the DMV’s commercial construction industry.
Members represent the entire construction team – general contractors, specialty contractors, developers, material and equipment suppliers, and related professional firms (industry associates).
ABC of Metro Washington is one of 67 chapters representing more than 500 companies locally. ABC of Metro Washington was the second chapter in the nation, chartered in 1958, and is one of the top chapters in size and performance.
