Rise Against Hunger Volunteer Event & Happy Hour

ABC of Metro Washington's XYZ Young Professionals invite you to a special event as we welcome the season of giving. Join us at the headquarters of our member, Scaffold Resource, to spend a few hours creating meal bags that will be sent across the world to an area most in need. 

Bring your colleagues for a great team bonding activity as we create assembly lines to fill bags that will provide over 10,000 meals in two hours or less! This activity will be led by energetic instructors with fun music, and door prize drawings too.

Then, we'll enjoy happy hour together after the volunteer activity to make new business connections and reflect on the upcoming holiday season.

We can't wait to welcome everyone as we usher in the season of giving back.

Happy Hour: 5:00-6:30pm

Pricing, Policy, & Volunteer Details:

Member price: $125

Your registration fee covers the charity's costs for meal supplies, shipping and staff. It also includes your happy hour beer, wine and light fare. Please arrive promptly by 3pm for this carefully coordinated volunteer process.

Rise Against Hunger's meal packaging process engages volunteers to combine rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a packet of 18 essential vitamins and minerals into small meal packages. These meals are shipped around the world to support school feeding programs and crisis relief.

• Event Sponsor - logo on all advertising, shout-outs from facilitator during the event, event poster at check-in, 4 complimentary passes - $1,300

• Happy Hour Sponsor - poster at the bar area, logo napkins, 2 complimentary passes - $1,000

• (2-4 companies) Meal Packing Sponsors - poster with combined logos at staging area, 2 complimentary passes - $500
