VitalCog: Suicide Prevention in Construction Training 2025

Presented by:

Joe Xavier, Sr., Director of Health and Safety, ABC National

Kamita Marbury-Draughn, Director of Workforce Development, ABC of Metro Washington

In recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month, ABC is proud to offer VitalCog: Suicide in Prevention in Construction training.

This training program helps construction workplaces appreciate the critical need for suicide prevention while creating a forum for dialogue and critical thinking about workplace mental health changes. VitalCog trains organizations to proactively address the early warning signs of suicide in the workplace. The program also builds a business case for suicide prevention while promoting help-seeking and help-giving skills.

After the training, participants feel:

  • Knowledgeable about suicide prevention
  • Confident talking about suicide and getting help
  • Likely to apply what they learned
