Joanna Clodfelter, from Stellr Defense, is certified by the Maryland State Police, United States Concealed Carry Association, National Rifle Association, and authorized by the Health and Safety Institute as an official trainer. She provides training in safety, defense, and preparedness and response.

Whether it’s in your daily life or on a construction site, keeping safe and secure is imperative.

You’ll learn the vital aspects of personal safety and defense, including:

• Safety through preparation
• Urban job site situational awareness
• Personal safety routines
• Defensive tool options
• Introduction to firearms*
• Work-from-home safe practices
• Physiological responses to danger
• Overview of the legal use of force
• Legal aftermath of self-defense acts
• Product recommendations.

*Introduction to firearms is conducted at the end of class. Students who are not interested in participating will be invited to conclude their training 30 min early.
