Succession Planning & Exit Strategies for the Construction Industry--CANCELLED

Presented by: Peter Hilera, CPA, Partner, Withum

Every business reaches a point where the owners want to know:  How do I transition this company? Who is the next me, and how do I monetize and diversify the value of my largest investment, my company, that I have built up over years through hard work and sacrifice?

The uncertainty of the pandemic has put these questions top of mind for many business owners. In this special seminar, Hilera will discuss the variety of options for how you can transition your company through a family transition, management buy-out, company sale, ESOP and more.  Learn what each option entails and important tax considerations.

Presenter: Peter Hilera, CPA, Tax Team Leader Construction Services | Partner, Withum

Peter is a partner in Withum’s Orlando office specializing in taxation. With more than 23 years of professional experience providing tax, business and accounting compliance and advisory services, Peter has a strong general business background and specialization in the construction industry.  He specializes in IRS representation, multi-state tax compliance, sales tax consulting, flow-through entities and works closely with private equity groups on mergers and acquisitions for corporate and business clients. A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in computer science, Peter is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
