Presenters:

Jennifer L. Harris is a Partner in Peckar & Abramson’s Washington, D.C. office, where she focuses on construction law, government contracts, and complex commercial litigation. She represents general contractors, subcontractors, and joint ventures on public and private projects. Jennifer handles disputes involving nonpayment, liens, bond claims, wage claims, design defects, and delays, and also counsels clients on compliance matters and minority certifications. She has extensive experience in arbitrations, mediations, and all stages of state and federal litigation.

 Aaron C. Schlesinger is a Partner and Co-Chair of Peckar & Abramson’s Labor Relations and Employment Law practice. He represents employers nationwide in labor, employment, and wage and hour matters, including collective bargaining, union campaigns, workplace policies, discrimination and harassment claims, and wage class actions. Aaron regularly appears before federal and state courts, the NLRB, EEOC, and state human rights agencies. He also serves as General Counsel to the Environmental Contractors Association of New York City.

Nathanial Peniston, Vice President, The Contractors Plan is a national expert on government-funded prevailing wage obligations and works closely with construction contractors to ensure proper compliance, particularly in bona fide employee benefits strategies. An accomplished author, he has published numerous articles in the Associated Builders and Contractors Construction Executive magazine and published the book, “The Contractor’s Guide to the Davis-Bacon Act: Essential Knowledge for Bidding and Compliance on Prevailing Wage Jobs.”
