What is the biggest misconception about the industry?
That the industry is perceived to be too traditional, executing in the same fashion and not innovative. That may have been the case in the past but not so much currently and not with the new generation of leadership in place rising to new challenges. The fast-paced and technology-driven educational background new leaders grew up with creates a desire for innovation and opportunities for rising leaders, whether their responsibilities are based in the office or in the field. Many new graduates don’t realize that construction is a field with endless career opportunities. At Aronson, we hope to educate and inspire emerging leaders and businesses to find a rewarding path in this industry.
What is your biggest current challenge at work?
Currently, our biggest challenge is staying ahead of legislative changes and tax law affecting the industry. We want to ensure we are advising our clients to the best of our ability, and bringing the latest insights to them.
What keeps you up at night?
Finding ways to exceed client expectations keeps me, as well as our partners and team members, up at night. We aim to provide clients what they otherwise might not have expected, whether that’s the delivery of a product or advice and guidance they might not be looking for to improve their business and long term strategy.
What project is your company most proud of?
One of the best parts about our job is being able to see client projects around town and other parts of the country. Whether that’s building, or being part of the construction of new museums, a marquis office building, a hotel, a residential building or new home development, a bridge or a new highway, being able to see our client site signs up at job sites is incredibly rewarding. Most importantly though, is seeing our clients’ success.
