What is the biggest misconception about the industry?
I didn't really have any misconceptions. Running a large demolition company for several years allowed me to really learn the true value of good service in disposal.
What is your biggest current challenge at work?
Our biggest challenge is controlling growth; one of our core values. We need to grow slowly in order to provide the never-ceasing unparalleled level of service that we do. Grow too fast and you overwhelm the system and service sacrifices.
What keeps you up at night?
Safety. Pure and simple. Our job is to try to have fun while driving around in circles and do no harm. Safety is why we have internet connected cameras in every truck as well as constant training. Our motto is Jobsite Success: It's what we do. Without being safe, there can be no success.
What project is your company most proud of?
We are most proud of the quality of our people and our culture. Not only are they very good at what they do, with no exceptions, they are genuinely good people. Our people make me proud. Our people might tell you that they are most proud of our ability to service customers like no other.
How does your ABC membership help your company?
ABC has been a great value in education as well as networking. It's been fun too. ABC genuinely cares about our success and we in-turn try to take advantage of all it has to offer.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I loved my matchbox cars as a kid and always wanted to grow up to play with trucks.

Helping people.
What are you like to work for?
You'd have to ask my employees. I'd have to say, demanding, caring, fair, and ethical. I try to have fun.
What do you do for fun?
Race cars / Autocross. I have a passion for precision driving.

Have an iron stomach.
