What is the biggest misconception about the industry?
I think the construction industry does not always get the credit we deserve as professionals in our industry. Yes there is no college degree for the majority of what we do, but we still go through just as much learning, long nights and tests along the way.
What is your biggest current challenge at work?
I am about 3 years into taking over full leadership of our company as the second generation and I am certainly still learning and figuring out this new role. I love building and think I am pretty good at it, but I have come to realize as the President that is no longer one of my highest responsibilities.
What keeps you up at night?
My 1.5 year old son, other than that I sleep pretty well!
What project is your company most proud of?
The House of Sweden in Georgetown, but don't tell our other clients.
How does your ABC membership help your company?
ABC has been a great resource for training and advocacy. The Leadership Development Program is a valuable asset we take advantage of.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Major League Baseball player.

I know how to knit, or I used to at least.

Working with my great team.

I can be demanding, but work hard play hard is my motto.

Work on cars, weld, build anything, hang out with family and friends.

Life REALLY does go fast so stop and enjoy it whenever you can!
