Hensel Phelps

What is your biggest current challenge at work?

Our biggest challenge is having enough people to staff all of the opportunities that are available. People are our most valuable asset and our biggest limitation for expansion.

What keeps you up at night?

The thing that keeps me up at night is making sure that we have enough of the right people to staff our projects. Proper training and mentorship is the key to ensure that we continue to keep delivering excellence to all of our clients..

What project is your company most proud of?

There are many great projects that we are proud of but one of the ones that truly stands out is the Pentagon Renovation. To be able to partake in such a landmark project that supports such a vital piece of our military is truly an outstanding achievement.

How does your ABC membership help your company?

Our ABC membership helps us utilize their industry-leading craft development and training programs. As a true general contractor, Hensel Phelps employs craft professionals across the county to self-perform our work. ABC's apprenticeship programs help us to develop our craft to be the industry leaders that we need to make our projects successful.
