The MD Joint Legislative Committee (JLC) worked tirelessly during the 2013 90-Day session of the Maryland General Assembly. The Committee reviewed hundreds of bills which potentially had an impact on the construction industry, taking positions and lobbying on behalf of the ABC membership before the various Committees, as well as the House and Senate chambers. Here are a just a few of the highlights:
Over 2,500 bills were introduced during the 2013 session and ABC reviewed each to evaluate whether it would have an impact on our members and the merit construction industry. ABC took positions on 100 bills that we determined to affect the ability of ABC members to operate in a free and open competitive environment.
