Women across the country are working hard to make ends meet,
often in unsafe homes and communities.
ABC’s Women Building Washington and Rebuilding Together Montgomery County are partnering to make a difference for local low-income, women-led households by raising support for and executing a hands-on project that is led by and directly benefits women during Women in Construction Week 2018.
According to the National Women's Law Center, more than one in seven women and more than one in five children live in poverty. More than half of those children live in families headed by women, and most don’t have a spouse’s income to rely on to support their family. Together we can increase the health and safety of their homes, making a lasting impact in the community.
Empower women to transform their communities on March 9th,
the Friday of Women in Construction Week.
