What is your biggest current challenge at work?
Hiring talented field technicians and installers.

What keeps you up at night?
Not having qualified field employees to complete the projects or services sold.

What project is your company most proud of?
A recent geothermal project for Kentlands Clubhouse. We were able to get the Kentlands financing for more than half the cost of the project in the form of a "Game Changer Grant" from the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA). It is a stellar economic and environmentally favorable project.

How does your ABC membership help your company?
ABC provides the majority of our apprenticeship training, helps our safety program and provides a variable array of management training. The legislative support and political advocacy is invaluable to our security and supports our merit shop values. The networking opportunities are expansive through the many events provided throughout each year.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Own my own business.

What do you look forward to each day?
The challenge of being the best in the business and performing the best service for our customers on a consistent basis.

What are you like to work for?
We believe we are enjoyable to work with because we set our expectations and goals for all employees and provide all the tools necessary to achieve these expectations and goals.

Play golf, ski and boating.

Better personal development training and the ability to set goals and an action plan for the steps to reach these goals.

The Company was founded 72 years ago by Harvey W. Hottel. He was an industry leader in providing new HVAC systems the Washington Metro Area's top businesses. Along with providing the first Air Conditioning systems to the area, He started manufacturing A/C systems for the Military and Federal Government. He never looked back and we are now a 3rd Generation Premier HVAC/Plumbing Full Service Mechanical Contractor providing Superior Service, Replacement of Equipment, Design Build/Engineering and Installations of new systems.
