The construction industry needs college graduates to meet the challenges of growth for the future. ABC, through its commitment to a strong scholarship program, hopes to recruit individuals into the industry.
To assist in the recruiting efforts of Colleges and Universities
by providing scholarship opportunities for deserving individuals
interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry,
and to further promote the image of construction
as a viable college career path.
ABC of Metro Washington, through its Student Chapters, seeks to provide a positive image of construction and to attract high quality candidates to the industry.
More than 50 students belong to ABC of Metro Washington's five student chapters at Catholic University of America, Howard University, Montgomery College, Prince George's Community College, and University of Maryland.
In addition to being eligible for a scholarship, students belonging to an ABC Student Chapter benefit by being able to interact with construction industry professionals at ABC general meetings and by being eligible for summer internship and job fair opportunities.
