Members joined us for this gala evening of cocktails, dinner, and a celebratory program and networking, complete with a four-piece jazz ensemble. At the end of the night, members enjoyed cordials and martinis, and indulged at the chocolate carving station.
ABC of Metro Washington is proud to be celebrating our 50th Anniversary throughout 2008 with our special logo, articles in Building Washington, trivia contests in e-NEWS, and a special charitable sponsorship (see right).

Our 50th Anniversary Celebration marked a momentous occasion with the presence of 19 of our past Chairmen of the Board, dating from Mr. Neil Coakley who served in 1960, to our current Chairman in 2008, Mr. Steven J. Donohoe. We were honored to have these valuable individuals help us celebrate the past 50 years. Thank you to these chairmen for their leadership which helped mold our organization, and for keeping this industry thriving.

The Metro Washington Chapter of ABC paid homage to Coakley & Williams Construction, Inc. and Miller & Long Co., Inc. for their leadership since our chapter's inception.
Our anniversary would not have been complete without honoring these two companies that have been leaders in the fight to preserve free enterprise and have commited themselves to the principles of merit shop construction since 1958.
Neil Coakley and John McMahon receive their awards of recognition.
